Cirrus Insight Launches Email Tracking, Analytics

Cirrus Insight, an app for integrating Salesforce with Gmail and Google Apps, today launched email tracking for Gmail, allowing users to receive real-time notifications as their emails are opened.

Users can also view open history, including time and date, location, and device type; log email tracking information to the activity history in Salesforce.com; and leverage email analytics to improve open rates and email responses.

By adding email tracking to their arsenal, Cirrus Insight users now know if and when people have opened their email. This allows salespeople to tailor their messages based on whether their email has been opened.

"We see email tracking as table stakes for the modern salesperson. Democratizing email tracking and extending it to individual salespeople will transform how sales is done in much the same way that the ability to track and report on emails has revolutionized marketing," said Jason Hubbard, vice president of marketing at Cirrus Insight, in a statement.

Email tracking is available today for all users of Cirrus Insight at no additional charge.

Cirrus Insight also today launched Cirrus Insight Analytics, a free package that provides users, managers, and admins with reports and dashboards showing usage and adoption of Cirrus Insight and Salesforce.com.

Cirrus Insight enables users to track email to Salesforce.com, create new leads and contacts, update opportunities and cases, and sync calendar events between Google Calendar and Salesforce.com.

With the new Cirrus Analytics app on the Salesforce AppExchange, organizations can do the following:

  • Create leaderboards for sales and support teams;
  • Report on Cirrus Insight usage and adoption; and
  • Add "Created by Cirrus Insight" fields to Salesforce standard and custom objects.

Now organizations can visualize and report on KPIs central to their businesses, including the following:

  • How many meetings did my sales team have with prospects last week?
  • Which customers met with my support team last month?
  • Which accounts are showing the most (and the least) activity?
  • Based on previous performance, how many opportunities will progress through the pipeline to closed/won status?

Cirrus Insight auto-configures itself to match up with the profiles, record types, validation rules, dependent picklists, and other Salesforce.com customizations established by enterprise customers.

These two releases follow last month's release of Cirrus Files, an app that lets users sync Salesforce.com with Google Drive. Other integrations that Cirrus Insight has already completed include DataHugOracle's Eloqua marketing automation, Pardot and Hubspot, and Zendesk, among others.
