Vonage Brings gUnify Connector to the Oracle Cloud Marketplace

Cloud communications services provider Vonage today announced that its gUnify Connector for Oracle Sales Cloud is available in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. The company offers bring-your-own-broadband (BYOB) cloud products, and many of its services can integrate with CRM and business workflow applications. With gUnify Connector’s inclusion in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, cloud-dependent companies can streamline client management and manage other critical functions from one screen.

Vonage provides businesses with a range of cloud-based communications capabilities, such as mobile calling, call continuity, videoconferencing, and file and desktop sharing, and facilitates a unified communications experience, particularly for large businesses with multiple locations. Vonage’s gUnify technology aims to further extend this functionality by connecting these communications capabilities with business applications including Oracle Sales Cloud.

Oracle Cloud provides software-as-a-service (SaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), and data-as-a-service (DaaS) models. The Oracle Cloud Marketplace allows users to browse a range of applications and services, including ones that extend the capabilities of Oracle Cloud, and view ratings and reviews to determine which solutions are optimal for their specific business needs. The Marketplace also includes automated application installation features, enabling customers to deploy applications from a centralized interface.

The Vonage gUnify Connector for Oracle Sales Cloud enables the Vonage Business cloud-based communications system and Oracle Sales Cloud to work together so that users can initiate calls directly from their contacts, as well as answer calls, place calls on hold, and add new calls on a second line directly from the Oracle Sales Cloud screen. Additionally, the gUnify Connector features pop-ups for incoming and outgoing calls, allows users to take notes and update custom fields within Oracle Sales Cloud while on a call, and create contacts that synch with their existing Oracle Sales Cloud contacts. The gUnify Connector does not require any additional equipment or software purchase.

Joe Redling, Vonage's chief operating officer, said in a statement that the release will aid collaboration.

"gUnify Connector for Oracle Sales Cloud responds to an immediate need for companies of all sizes that rely on real-time collaboration to help their businesses grow. Vonage is focused on providing the right products and the right features to ensure that we are helping businesses large and small to connect and do business better."

Vonage is a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork, which allows partners to develop, sell, and implement Oracle solutions. Oracle PartnerNetwork also provides training and support in Oracle products and solutions.
