Salesforce Expands Headless 360 Across Its Portfolio

Salesforce is expanding Headless 360 with new Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, Data 360 capabilities, Slack integrations, developer tools, reusable Skills, and headless experiences across every major cloud.

Headless 360 transforms the Salesforce platform from a collection of enterprise applications into reusable enterprise capabilities that AI agents can securely discover and use. Instead of rebuilding integrations for every new AI experience, organizations can securely reuse the business capabilities they've already built on Salesforce, preserving the same identity, permissions, metadata, workflows, governance, and business logic already established. Headless 360 is designed to work across the broader enterprise ecosystem. It expands trusted context through zero copy data partnerships; gives customers access to a growing ecosystem of trusted capabilities through AgentExchange; and brings Salesforce actions to the leading AI models and platforms, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Amazon Web Services.

Since introducing Headless 360, Salesforce has rapidly expanded the platform across every layer of the agentic enterprise. Today's announcement includes the following:

  • Headless 360 MCP Server, bringing trusted Salesforce capabilities to any AI agent through open standards. The Headless 360 MCP Server enables agents running in Agentforce, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI platforms to dynamically discover, understand, and invoke Salesforce capabilities in real time.
  • Data 360 MCP Server, extending trusted customer context beyond Salesforce. With the Data 360 MCP Server, authorized agents can now build semantic models, transform data, generate calculated insights, intelligently map fields, inspect identity graphs, create audience segments, activate campaigns, and stand up entirely new data streams through natural language. Every Data 360 MCP Server also includes prebuilt Skills for common workflows, including code extensions, transformations, and activation.
  • Slackbot MCP Client, bringing enterprise actions directly into the flow of work and allowing Slackbot to securely connect with the Salesforce platform, all Salesforce MCP servers, and more than 20 partner applications, including Atlassian, Box, Canva, Docusign, Notion, and Zoom. Employees can update Salesforce opportunities, retrieve contracts, launch workflows, and coordinate work across enterprise systems directly from their conversations, all while inheriting the same permissions, identity, and governance policies already defined.
  • Agent Skills and Plugins, with more than 100 reusable Skills that package orchestration, validation, resources, and business logic into governed capabilities.
  • Headless Experience Layer, enabling developers to build rich web, mobile, embedded, and conversational experiences powered by Salesforce.
  • Salesforce Multi-framework, allowing developers to build modern React applications with native Salesforce authentication, security, data access, and governance.
  • Expanded Headless 360 capabilities across marketing, sales, service, commerce, MuleSoft, Informatica, Tableau, and the broader Salesforce platform.

This announcement also expands Salesforce's vision across every major Salesforce cloud:

  • The Marketing Engagement MCP Server allows marketers to manage journeys, campaigns, data extensions, and content through natural language across any interface.
  • Agentforce Sales and Self-Service Buying extend revenue operations beyond CRM, allowing sales workflows to operate across applications, storefronts, and AI-powered buying experiences.
  • Headless Service extends dispatching, field service scheduling, and customer support workflows into external applications, messaging platforms, and conversational experiences.
  • Headless Commerce enables AI-powered storefronts while giving developer agents secure access to the commerce capabilities needed to rapidly build and ship experiences.
  • MuleSoft and Informatica expose integration, APIs, data quality, governance, metadata, and trusted enterprise context as reusable MCP services, making it easier for agents to reach governed business data without custom integration work.
