Five Top Innovating CRM Companies for 2026: The CRM Conversation Starters

The pace of artificial intelligence-powered innovation in CRM in recent years has been staggering, and this year’s five Conversation Starters showed no signs of slowing down. Aurasell, for instance, emerged from stealth a little more than a year ago and has kept up quite a clip, releasing an AI-native CRM platform right out of the gate and following up with an AI-native go-to-market platform in November. Speaking of speed, SurveyMonkey, another of this year’s honorees, launched a free tools hub that includes an AI survey generator, which allows users to create a survey draft from a simple plan-language prompt in as little as 30 seconds. And then there’s MessageGears, which released tools to help marketers coordinate multiple specialized teams across dozens of brands, business units, and regions without sacrificing speed or governance. Read on for more on these AI-infused achievements, designed to help CRM professionals work faster and smarter.

Aurasell CRM can replace up to 15 fragmented sales and revenue point solutions, and with its flexible architecture it can function as a stand-alone CRM or as an intelligence/workflow layer on top of other leading CRM platforms. A few months later, in October 2021, Zendesk announced plans to acquire Momentive for about $4.1 billion. The deal was terminated, though, when Zendesk’s shareholders voted against the acquisition. Then in March 2023, investment firm STG acquired Momentive for $1.5 billion. Read more here.
