WealthEngine and DonorCommunity Partner on Integrated Fundraising Solutions

WealthEngine, a provider of wealth intelligence, prospect research, and marketing services for nonprofits, and DonorCommunity, an online fundraising software company, have partnered to help organizations improve their fundraising results.

The partnership will enable organizations to understand virtually everything about their constituents in a single view by leveraging WealthEngine's data and wealth intelligence capabilities inside of DonorCommunity's automated online fundraising and marketing platform.

WealthEngine essentially takes the constituent lists stored in nonprofits' DonorCommunity CRM databases and provides insight about the individuals to help the organizations better segment their constituents and personalize their fundraising outreach.

"DonorCommunity provides the names, and we provide information about the people on those lists," says J.B. Rauch, vice president of channels at WealthEngine. "[This] allows [nonprofits] to be more thoughtful and deliberate in the outreach to their donor communities."

WealthEngine pulls together public information about the individuals, including net worth, assets owned, employment, and lifestyle attributes, and uses it to come up with proprietary wealth and Propensity-to-Give (P2G) scores that organizations can access through DonorCommunity's CRM platform. DonorCommunity can also leverage full donor profiles that include comprehensive data points, marketing segmentation, and social influence.

"We let [nonprofits] know more than just a name and an email address," Rauch says. "The idea is to tailor the ask to the affluence level and interests of the person."

To get the same information on their own, nonprofits would need to hire full-time researchers and have contracts with dozens of data aggregators, according to Rauch. "We curate all of that data for them from thirty-five different sources," he says.

WealthEngine and DonorCommunity will continue to embark on joint marketing activities, targeting mutual clients that need to leverage powerful donor intelligence, CRM management, and integrated marketing services.

WealthEngine is also a partner of Salesforce.com and the Salesforce Foundation, delivering solutions for nonprofits built on the Salesforce1 platform and available on the Salesforce1 AppExchange for Nonprofits.

WealthEngine counts among its clients more than 4,000 nonprofits, including charities, hospitals, government agencies, and educational institutions. Its joint solutions with DonorCommunity can work with nonprofits of any size, from small local organizations to large national ones, according to Rauch. "We strive to help them all be more effective in their donor outreach."
