eGain Communications announced eGain Email 6.0's integration with the Aspect Enterprise Contact Server version 5.2 via the eGain CTI Adapter. With this integration, contact centers that use eGain Email 6.0 -- the newest version of the company's customer email management software -- with Aspect's contact server will be able to provide unified customer service across email and telephone. Omniture announced the release of SiteCatalyst 10, the newest version of its SiteCatalyst analytics solution. Key features include Advanced Segment Insight (ASI), to review historical data on newly defined segments; Next Generation Participation Metrics, to flowchart sales or other metrics from page to page; and a new open data platform for access to information external to SiteCatalyst within the solution's reporting environment, providing a single view of online marketing activity.
MicroStrategy introduced MicroStrategy Office, a solution offering business intelligence technology to users of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. MicroStrategy Office provides a transparent window for all enterprise data, a query wizard for ad hoc data, offline analysis for mobile personnel, and personal scorecards and dashboards using Microsoft Office formatting. The solution also enables extranet users and users without prior business intelligence experience to design their own reports. Maporama International, an application service provider, launched Maporama Web Services 2004 v1.2, featuring two new Web services to enhance the use of location-centric services. The Check Address Web service verifies the existence of an address entered on an e-commerce Web site or present in a corporate database, and the POI (Points of Interest) Look Up Web service finds specific points of interest within a database according to a certain radius of search around an address or location. Genalytics, a provider of business analytics software, released Genalytics 5.0, the latest version of its analytics software platform. New features and functionality include an enhanced data extraction engine that enables analysts to handle advanced extraction without learning SQL commands or waiting for IT data processing; improved genetic algorithms to design cross-selling, customer retention, and risk management programs; and a new ASP interface that maintains data transfer and communications security with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption.
