Yellowfin Set to Release Version 7.2

Business intelligence (BI) and analytics software vendor Yellowfin is set to launch the latest version of its BI solution, Yellowfin 7.2.

"Yellowfin 7.2 will deliver the broadest, most shareable BI platform on the planet," said Yellowfin's director of product marketing, John Ryan, in a statement. "Yellowfin 7.2 has been engineered to support a range of BI users and use cases, enabling organizations to establish and benefit from a company-wide culture of data-driven decision-making."

Some of the additions and improvements to Yellowfin in version 7.2 will include the following:

• Business Workflow: Enhanced collaboration to improve task management and analytic workflow, connecting BI consumers with business analysts;
• API connectors for a range of third-party Web-based applications and data sources, including Salesforce.com, Google Analytics, Twitter, and more; and
• Improved forecasting and trend analysis.

Yellowfin's last release of the product, version 7.1, was introduced in August 2014.
