CRM Idol Kicks Off Its Second Season
CRM Idol, a contest that gives small CRM-related companies a chance to gain exposure and win prizes, is gearing up for its second season. "This is going to be a bigger, more exciting year for the industry as we discover some new emerging CRM companies," promised CRM Idol founder Paul Greenberg in a statement.
The first phase of the competition begins today. Entrants are asked to supply basic information, including the size of their companies based on revenue, years in business, and availability of products. All products in the competition must be in live use; no beta products will be accepted. The full rules and application are available at CRMIdol.com. The application deadline is 6 p.m. PDT, May 25.
Finalists in 2011 included Assistly (acquired by Salesforce.com), Crowd Factory (acquired by Marketo), and Stone Cobra. The winner of the Americas division was San Francisco–based customer engagement platform provider Get Satisfaction. BPMonline, a SaaS CRM software provider that is based in London, grabbed first place in the EMEA division.
The competition will focus on companies that provide CRM and related solutions from major regions of the world, including North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The contest runs through December 5, when winners from the competing regions will be announced.
