CUSTOMER WINS Brussels Airlines is now using
Salesforce.com to manage its interaction with travel agencies and corporate clients. The carrier uses Salesforce.com to share leads and customer information throughout its sales team from remote locations. Brussels Airlines selected Salesforce.com because of its rapid implementation time. Honda United Kingdom has deployed Aprimo Marketing Ad Builder and Publisher, a Web-based advertisement building-and-publishing software product. Honda will use Aprimo so more than 300 U.K. car and power equipment dealers can generate and place ads and adjust artwork, resize, and manage fulfillment and delivery obligations. Telsource has implemented Salesnet to manage its sales cycle, to. define, guide, and track multiple sales processes across multiple channels. ON THE MOVE Technet, a technology lobbying group formed in 1997 to give Silicon Valley increased representation in Washington, has selected Lezlee Westine as its new president and CEO. Previously, Westine was White House aide to special advisor Karl Rove. NEW PRODUCTS Conversagent has launched Automated Service Agent (ASA) for Harrisdirect, the first online brokerage firm to deploy a self-service customer service technology of this kind, according to the company. ASA will improve upon current FAQ searches by engaging the customer in two-way natural language text chat and delivering responses to customer inquiries. The Conversagent ASA System will also provide Harrisdirect with secure Web-based reporting and analytics. Witness Systems unveiled a new workforce optimization solution. The as-yet unnamed solution's key features include quality monitoring/contact center recording, workforce management, performance management, and e-learning. Witness Systems also combined learning and performance management with workforce optimization to provide users with multiple entry points to their workforce optimization solution. Sendia, a wireless business application platform company, announced the availability of Wireless SFA 2.0 for Salesforce.com. New features include deeper integration of Mobile PIM and email, sales activity alerts, and pipeline reporting. Specifically, Wireless SFA 2.0 was designed to improve upon remote wirelessly access and edit capabilities for Salesforce.com users on the road.
