Salesforce Introduces Hunter, a Sales Agent

Salesforce this week at its Dreamforce conference in San Francisco introduced Hunter, an outbound sales agent built for Sales Cloud to help sellers turn goals into action, find the right accounts and contacts, personalize outreach, prepare follow-ups, create and update opportunities, and tee up next steps as each deal moves forward.

Hunter learns teams' sales motion from calls, emails, and notes, works within existing permissions and approval rules, and keeps context on accounts, contacts, and opportunities over time. When a step needs a judgment call, Hunter shows its reasoning and asks the rep for approval first.

Users tell Hunter what they need to achieve, like building the right pipeline, engaging leads, progressing deals, or preparing the forecast, and it maps the work ahead, drives approved actions, tracks progress, and adjusts the plan as buyers and priorities change.

Hunter also studies the patterns behind the strongest opportunities across CRM history, customer conversations, enablement content, seller activity, and approved third-party signals. Its memory lives on accounts, contacts, and opportunities so every action picks up where the last one left off.

Salesforce has named ZoomInfo, Demandbase, and Apollo as the flagship data partners for Hunter.

With the ZoomInfo partnership, Hunter draws on verified company and contact data, intent signals, news, and more from ZoomInfo's GTM Context Graph, which covers more than 100 million companies, 500 million contacts, and billions of signals.

"Hunter combines everything Salesforce knows about how a team sells with trusted third-party intelligence. ZoomInfo is an important part of that, bringing verified company and contact data and real-time signals directly into the seller's workflow inside Sales Cloud," said Rohan Punamia, vice president of product management at Salesforce, in a statement.

"Every AI sales agent runs into the same limit: it can only reason over what's already in the CRM. Hunter pairs Salesforce's understanding of how a team sells with ZoomInfo's verified data on more than 100 million companies and 500 million contacts. That's the difference between an agent that summarizes last quarter and one that knows what changed at an account this morning," said Dennis Sevilla, chief strategy officer at ZoomInfo, in a statement.

With the Demandbase partnership, Salesforce customers can now access Demandbase's real-time B2B engagement, person and account data, including buying group and intent data, within their native workflows.

"By teaming up with Salesforce to bring our data to Hunter, we're strengthening the agentic AI ecosystem for sales teams, eliminating friction and helping improve GTM outcomes," said Christopher Amabile, vice president of global partner ecosystems at Demandbase, in a statement. "This integration leverages the Demandbase MCP server to bring real-time B2B engagement intelligence directly into revenue teams' workflows. Sales reps can prompt Demandbase in natural language to immediately identify and prioritize the most engaged prospects, natively within Agentforce, speeding and simplifying buyer research and targeting."

Demandbase is powering key Huynter capabilities, including the following:

  • Real-time access to Demandbase engagement data inside Salesforce.
  • Natural language queries powered by Agentforce and Demandbase's MCP.
  • Ranked lists of the most engaged people at any target account.
  • Engagement metrics, including engagement points and engagement minutes.
  • Contact details and quality signals.
  • Visibility into contacts and accounts showing the greatest intent to buy.
  • Identification of buying group members.

"Sales teams can only act on the signals they can see," Punamia said. "By bringing Demandbase's intelligence natively into Hunter, we're giving every Sales Cloud customer the B2B data and account signals they need to prioritize the right prospects and grow revenue."

And in the partnership with Apollo, Hunter users can access Apollo's network of 240 million contacts directly through the agent. Hunter can tap into Apollo's sales intelligence to research accounts, find prospects, enrich contact information, and identify timely signals for outreach.

Through the integration, Salesforce's Hunter agents can now tap into the following seven Apollo prospecting actions:

  • Company Search: finds accounts that match a described ideal customer profile.
  • Company Enrich: fills in firmographic detail (size, industry, tech stack, funding stage).
  • Person Search: finds contacts at target accounts.
  • Person Enrich: fills in contact-level detail, including verified work email.
  • Person Enrich with Mobile Phone: adds a verified mobile number.
  • News Enrich: surfaces company news and signals like funding rounds or leadership changes.
  • Job Posting Enrich: surfaces open roles as a timing and growth signal.

"Thousands of teams already run Apollo alongside Salesforce and are increasingly adopting AI workflows for their GTM," said Scott Singerman, vice president of partnerships at Apollo, in a statement. "Delivering Apollo's network of 240 million contacts natively inside Hunter is a real unlock for customers. This partnership with Salesforce advances Apollo's mission to deliver modern GTM to teams of any size, wherever they work."

"Agents are only as effective as the data they can access," Punamia said "By bringing Apollo's intelligence natively into Hunter, we're giving every Salesforce customer the prospecting data and signals they need to grow revenue — without a separate Apollo subscription to manage."
