Oracle Marketing Cloud Extends Partnership with Box
To help marketers improve collaboration, streamline processes, and better manage their digital assets, Oracle has integrated its Oracle Marketing Cloud with Box.
Box is currently a vendor in the Oracle Marketing AppCloud.
The integration allows Oracle Marketing Cloud users to centrally store and manage marketing content on the Box collaboration and file-sharing platform.
Marketers can create content, such as PDF or Microsoft Office documents, outside of the Marketing Cloud, and then, using Box, work with others on edits and decide what the final content should be, explains John Stetic, group vice president of products for the Oracle Marketing Cloud. They can then take the content, convert it to HTML, and then use it in email campaigns or on Web landing pages, he adds.
Further optimizing and simplifying content marketing processes, the integration enables folders in Box to automatically sync with Oracle Marketing Cloud’s content store so they are available for campaign execution on Oracle’s cross-channel marketing platform.
"By using traditional document creation tools and Box as the collaboration platform, copy can get honed and then automatically placed back into Marketing Cloud for delivery and execution," Stetic says.
The integration, he adds, "creates the bridge between authoring, collaboration, and the delivery of Web content. "It's about creating experiences that drive [consumers] down the buying path by delivering the right content at the right time in the right channel."
"Having access to the right content at the right time is critical for businesses everywhere, and no department relies more on real-time collaboration around information than marketing," said Niall Wall, senior vice president of business development at Box, in a statement. "We're excited to extend our partnership with Oracle by integrating with Oracle Marketing Cloud, fostering better collaboration within marketing teams as well as their external agencies and vendors. The connection between our two platforms will help make businesses of all sizes more productive and competitive, particularly in industries like retail and media and entertainment where success hinges on the creation and distribution of digital assets."
Stetic says the Box integration was "a natural fit" for the Oracle Marketing Cloud.
"Oracle Marketing Cloud has many large enterprise customers, and many of them use Box," he says. "Box is a good first integration for us considering the number of mutual customers we have."
