YouTube Replaces Insight with New Analytics Tool
YouTube unveiled its new Analytics tool this week, allowing users to glean more information about their audience through in-depth reports and stats.
Formerly YouTube Insight, Analytics gives YouTube users all the data that Insight provided but in a simpler format with several new options.
Highlights of the new features are as follows:
- A Quick Overview: A summary report highlights performance metrics about your YouTube content.
- More Detailed Reports: The analytics now includes more detailed statistics, as well as a data filter that lets you filter reports by content, geography, and date, and an interactive map that accompanies most reports, showing you the geographic distribution of the metric you’re interested in.
- Audience Builders: Now you can see which videos are driving the most views and subscriptions.
- Audience Retention: See how far viewers are watching through your video in the new audience retention report.

Shoppable videos enable users to buy products shown in films.
