Sage Delivers New Mobile CRM To Sage SalesLogix Users

Sage North America has released a mobile version of its flagship Sage SalesLogix solution.

Users of Sage SalesLogix v.7.5.3 can now extend CRM functionality to a wide range of mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad, Android, and BlackBerry Torch. The software has also been made to integrate with a number of Web browsers, such as Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, and Firefox.

The application is free of charge and does not require any additional components to install.

The new customizable, browser-based Sage SalesLogix Mobile works with Sage SalesLogix on-premises and Sage SalesLogix Cloud systems and interacts with each device’s navigation, mapping, dialing, and email functions to simplify the user experience. The new Sage SalesLogix Mobile operates online and offline, is centrally managed and customized, and updates automatically over the air.

The application works natively with the user interface already built into the devices, according to Ryan Zuk, a Sage spokesman.

The new Sage SalesLogix Mobile puts detailed customer information at a user’s fingertips so he can quickly do the following:

  • create, view, and edit customer information including accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, and tickets;
  • access a Quick Actions menu, view and schedule activities, and record important notes;
  • manage meeting schedules, personal activities, phone calls, and to-do lists;
  • log email and phone interactions to customer history; and
  • configure features to match user preferences and receive automatic updates over the air.

“It presents the user with a task-oriented interface so he can do what he would ordinarily do on his desktop but with his mobile. He can do a lot of the things you would expect on the fly,” Zuk says. “The individual does not have to learn a new system since the application works with each device natively.”

These are important developments, according to Zuk, because many business people today bring their own mobile devices into a job rather than having them issued by the companies they work for.  “This more easily supports multiple devices used by many different people in the company and support the individual preferences of each user.”

The new Sage SalesLogix Mobile is the latest mobile development by Sage for its small and midsized business customers. Last month, the company announced Sage Mobile Payments, which allows customers to accept credit and debit card payments on more than 400 types of mobile phones and computing devices. It also follows the launch of the Sage SalesLogix Cloud last month.
