Interwoven, an enterprise content management provider, has released Interwoven 6, which it says can boost the effectiveness of a company's CRM strategy. The new version features solutions for marketing, including the new Digital Brand Management Solution powered by MediaBin and integrated with the Interwoven 6 platform; solutions for sales, including Sales Excellence portals featuring Interwoven 6 integrations with leading portal vendors including IBM, BEA, SAP, Plumtree, Sun ONE and Oracle; and solutions for service including Interwoven's self-service application solution featuring Interwoven Content Intelligence Server, designed to deliver relevant content to the right user at the right time. Ventus Solutions, a strategy and technology solution provider for the financial services industry, has released a financial services--focused suite of best practices, application tools, and integration methods to extend Salesforce.com. Combining Salesforce.com's on-demand CRM solution with Ventus Solutions' implementation services, the new offering is designed to provide retail banks with a real-time, 360-degree profile of their customers, including deposit and loan product needs, conversion rates of marketing efforts, and a complete customer interaction history. The solution also aids in facilitating better cross-sell and upsell opportunities, according to Ventus.
Pointsec Mobile Technologies has developed a new security system for sales and marketing professionals and their PDAs. Unlike standard password protection, Pointsec's PicturePIN system is based on icons like a coffee mug or a walking dog. When the icons are combined for a password they tell a story, "I am drinking coffee while walking the dog," which results in a more sophisticated security method, according to the company. The feature also allows the addition of personalized icons like pictures of family or friends, or company logos. Insightful Corporation has announced Insightful Miner 3, which allows data analysts to more easily build and deploy predictive models that boost product performance and improve the efficiency of critical business processes. Business intelligence provider Cognos has released Cognos Metrics Manager Version 2. This release includes a broad range of customer-driven functionality, flexibility, and scalability enhancements to its enterprise scorecarding solution. Cognos says the solution uses deeper analytics to better monitor performance across the enterprise.
