Mavenlink Releases HTML5 Mobile Application
Building on the momentum in the enterprise collaboration space most recently in the spotlight when Microsoft announced it would acquire Yammer, Mavenlink this week launched a mobile application for its workforce collaboration platform.
Compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices, the Mavenlink HTML5 application enables users to collaborate on business tasks.
According to Ray Grainger, CEO of Mavenlink, the mobile workforce has increased the demand on businesses to offer "a centralized platform to collaborate freely from any location at any time." Mavenlink offers Google Apps integration, as well as Intuit QuickBooks for its professional platform.
Forrester Research reports that emerging social collaboration technologies not only allow users to engage more deeply with peers, but also to share access to crucial business information. As a result, the new breed of combined collaboration and social technologies will continue to reshape enterprise resource planning and CRM applications and integrations, Forrester says.
"Businesses seeking to promote innovation by encouraging individuals and teams to collaborate need to make it easy," said Mark Levitt, director of enterprise software and communications at Strategy Analytics, in a statement. "With mobile applications from vendors such as Mavenlink, workers in any location can access and share project information and tasks in central, online collaborative workplaces."
Capabilities available through the Mavenlink Mobile Application include:
- Task Management: Create, assign, view and manage tasks, deliverables and milestones via mobile device.
- Collaboration: Post and comment via a messaging feed connecting teammates.
- Expense tracking: Enter expenses in real time.
- Time tracking: Track billable hours as tasks or deliverables are completed.
- File-sharing: Upload files directly from a mobile device and add comments along with changes.
Mavenlink is used by companies such as Pinkberry, AskMen.com, and Maui Jim Sunglasses. The mobile application is generally available to current Mavenlink users.
