Apttus Announces New Solutions at its Accelerate 2016 Conference

Quote-to-cash software company Apttus today announced several new developments at its Accelerate 2016 conference, including the launch of the Apttus Intelligent Cloud and Apttus E-Commerce solution, as well as the X-Author X-Change program and new availability for Microsoft customers.

The Apttus Intelligent Cloud extends the capabilities of the Apttus Quote-to-Cash suite by combining it with promotions, incentive compensation, and rebates capabilities, as well as the company’s X-Author solution. It features an Intelligence Layer component that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to determine the best actions for improving the revenue process, and it aims to go beyond descriptive analytics—such as simply measuring sales cycle times—to prescriptive analytics that deliver insights into accomplishing business goals. The Cloud also aims to devise strategies and incentives that motivate better selling behavior and to update these strategies in real time to assist sales teams.

"Our customers started demanding that we go beyond just the product, and that we help change the behavior—not just looking for any deal, but that we were guiding them towards the right deals, and that every time a deal was happening, the system was learning from that deal," says Maria Pergolino, global senior vice president of marketing at Apttus. "People didn't want to necessarily have artificial intelligence or machine learning happening as something that felt separate; they wanted it [to be] part of the overall system."

The Apttus E-Commerce solution is delivered through the Apttus Intelligent Cloud and is designed to establish brand consistency by connecting online and in-person experiences. The software aims to provide tailored, up-to-date product, price, and promotional information for customers, regardless of the channel they're using. The solution provides branded self-service portals for both desktop and mobile, with the goal of enabling consumers to purchase products and services anytime, anywhere. Apttus E-Commerce also delivers real-time e-commerce performance analysis, with tracking for product and pricing trends as well as analysis of sales rates and revenue performance.

"We leverage all of that contact data, everything that is known about the customer, and put that into the E-Commerce system so that your customer can log in and purchase as if they were talking to a sales rep, and ultimately it's improving customer satisfaction," Pergolino says.

Apttus also announced that all of its partners and customers can access a range of resources from its Excel-based quoting application, X-Author, through the X-Author X-Change program. The solution provides custom applications for organizations, as well as branding, partnership, and marketing opportunities. Apttus also announced that its entire suite of solutions is now available to Microsoft customers through Microsoft Pinpoint.
