CUSTOMER WINS Wawa, a convenience store retailer, will implement
SAP as its business management solution, using SAP for Retail to run business processes for store-level forecasting, replenishment, and merchandise planning. SAP for Retail is based on the SAP NetWeaver platform. Edmonton Airport Authority has consolidated communications and linked locations with the Edmonton International Airport communications system using an Avaya IP solution. The authority will improve emergency preparedness as a result of a more flexible network, according to Avaya. The solution will link the Air Operations Maintenance Centre and the Edmonton Airport Fire Station and connect the airport with local EMS services. Caixanova, one of Spain's financial services institutions, will build an enterprise data warehouse platform with Teradata. The project entails the development of a corporate information system that will give users a single view of the bank's consumer, information technology, and finance data. Access to this information will be enabled through the Teradata platform, which will be integrated with the bank's legacy system. ON THE MOVE Jon Van Duyne, senior vice president and general manager of Best Software's midmarket CRM solutions, resigned Friday. Jim Foster, executive vice president for the midmarket division, will assume his responsibilities until a replacement is found. Noble Systems announced the appointment of Colin Chave to the position of general manger EMEA. Chave is responsible for leveraging NSC's existing presence and relationship in Europe into a Pan European operation with an EMEA focus. Prior to joining Noble Systems, he was vice president of the Europe and Africa region for Concerto. NEW PRODUCTS Manticore Technology, an application service provider of online marketing software, has released Virtual Touchstone, an integrated Web analytics, email, and ad tracking solution. Dialog Group, a provider of relationship marketing services, business, and consumer targeting databases, has partnered with AdValiant to introduce its new online marketing technology ADialogin. AdValiant will be the sales and marketing arm of ADialogin's distribution and brings online media marketing, data, lead generation, and affiliate marketing services. BlueRoads, a channel management software company, announced the availability of BlueRoads Interface for WebEx, an integration of its BlueRoads 5 Suite and WebEx Meeting Center, a Web-meeting application from WebEx Communications. The integration improves communications and coordination with partners' sales organization and enables prospect engagements that increase close rates and shorten sales cycles, according to the company. Partners that do not have a WebEx subscription will now have access to meet online with customers by leveraging the vendor's WebEx account.
