Phonedeck Launches Talkfest, a Free Video Calling Tool Inside Salesforce.com
Phonedeck, a mobile CRM telephony integrator, has launched Talkfest, a free Internet-based video calling tool available for Salesforce.com CRM.
With Talkfest, users don't need to leave their Salesforce application to call colleagues.
Phonedeck, a Berlin-based startup, developed Talkfest using Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) technology, meaning that users do not need special plug-ins or software to make and receive video calls. They can stay in their browsers—Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera. To start a face-to-face call, they simply search for the contact in the Talkfest widget. The connection is peer-to-peer and encrypted per default. That makes Talkfest a safe collaboration tool for sales, support, or marketing departments or any project team.
Phonedeck is also working with telecommunication companies, such as Alcatel-Lucent, to develop integrations for mobile communication into other CRM systems.
