Calendly Launches Callie, an AI Assistant, and Notetaker

Calendly has released Callie, an artificial intelligence assistant, and Calendly Notetaker, forming a suite of AI tools for meeting scheduling and busywork.

Callie acts as a personal AI assistant users can bring into any email thread to help coordinate meetings. To activate Callie, users only need to remember one email address—callie@calendly.com—to add Callie to the conversation and say what they need. Callie works right in the email thread and follows the context of the conversation, checks availability, and adapts when a meeting doesn't follow the usual rules. Users can also Ask Callie about meeting specifics using the always-present chat in the Calendly app.

Calendly Notetaker picks up where scheduling with Callie leaves off. Notetaker is an AI meeting assistant to capture clear summaries, deliver action items, and handle follow-up emails in one place. Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams calls and delivers video recordings, full transcripts, and shareable recaps with action items. Recaps are private by default; users can choose what's recorded and shared, and each meeting recap is linked to the right contact and event type, so every conversation builds on the last. And if you need to remember a specific detail from a previously recorded meeting or prepare a brief for your next call, simply Ask Callie.

"We created the scheduling automation category to remove the friction from one part of the meeting lifecycle. Now, we're capturing the power of AI to expand what it means to make meetings easier across the board," said Tope Awotona, founder and CEO of Calendly, in a statement. "Our customers aren't looking for another tool to manage. With Callie and Notetaker working together, Calendly is helping professionals win over fragmented tools so they can focus on the conversations that move work forward, not the tasks that surround them. Meetings don't exist in isolation. They're part of a larger work cycle, and our suite of AI-powered features is what finally connects it all."
