Metafor Launches Interactive Story Capability
Swedish startup Metafor launched today with a platform that turns companies' customer data into interactive 3D cities, where every building is a customer, so leaders can tell the story behind the numbers to their whole teams, live in the city or as short films.
In Metafor, every customer becomes a building in a city. Deals in progress appear as construction sites. The city can be grouped into districts by country, industry, account owner or sales lead, and dragging the timeline lets the team watch the city grow, month by month, from the first customer to today.
Users can pick a week, a month, a quarter, or a year, and Metafor tells its story as a short film called a Wrap. Wraps can be shared in Slack or Teams, run on the office TV, or be used to open the all-hands.
Metafor connects to CRMs such as HubSpot and Planhat, CPQ tools such as Younium, or any app through the Model Context Protocol.
"Whenever I've shown my teams data and statistics, it's always been a challenge to bring storytelling into it. Because for a lot of people, a number is just a number. It doesn't engage them, and it doesn't build understanding. It feels abstract, with no link to anything real. With Metafor, the numbers become a story the whole team can follow," said Jonas Ehne, CEO of Metafor, in a statement.
