Digital Remedy Partners with Affinity Solutions for Merchant Intelligence

Digital Remedy, a performance media partner, has teamed up with Affinity Solutions, a consumer purchase insights company, to introduce Merchant Intelligence to help advertisers understand how their digital media campaigns connect to real-world consumer purchases.

Powered by Affinity Solutions' consumer transaction data drawn from more than 290 million debit and credit cards, Merchant Intelligence connects Digital Remedy's campaign exposure data with observed purchasing behavior at the household level. The offering gives advertisers greater visibility into purchases, revenue, and return on ad spend (ROAS), including in-store transactions.

Launching with an initial focus on quick-service restaurants (QSR) and retail, Merchant Intelligence helps advertisers understand what happens after consumers see an ad, evaluate performance beyond clicks and impressions. and make more informed media investment decisions.

"QSR and retail marketers have been optimizing the sales they can track online, while much of the business still happens at the register," said Matt Fanelli, chief revenue officer of Digital Remedy, in a statement. "Through our partnership with Affinity Solutions, advertisers can see verified in-store and online purchases next to their media delivery in Echo, Digital Remedy's measurement platform. That shows them which campaigns and channels are associated with purchases, and with weekly data, they can shift budget while the campaign is still running."

Merchant Intelligence combines Digital Remedy's media delivery data with Affinity Solutions' comprehensive consumer purchase insights. By matching campaign impressions with household-level transaction activity, advertisers can evaluate purchasing patterns among exposed audiences and compare them with unexposed groups.

The offering provides the following two complementary reports within Echo:

  • Performance Summary Report, which provides a campaign-level view of media delivery alongside verified purchases, revenue, and ROAS. It also compares purchasing behavior between exposed and unexposed audiences, including purchase rates, average transaction value, and purchase frequency.
  • Conversion Insights Report, which offers a deeper look at purchasing activity across campaigns, creatives, publishers, media types, and devices. It also provides insights into purchase timing, store locations, online vs. in-store transactions, and available audience demographics.

"Today's advertisers need to prove bottom-line performance, yet measuring the real-world impact of omnichannel campaigns has historically been fragmented," said Phil Lore, chief growth officer at Affinity Solutions, in a statement. "By combining our Consumer Purchase Insights with Digital Remedy's media delivery data, we're helping advertisers better understand how campaign exposure impacts purchasing behavior across online and offline channels offering a clearer picture of their media performance."

Merchant Intelligence can also support measurement for travel and hospitality, automotive, entertainment, and other consumer-facing industries. The offering is available for eligible campaigns across display, mobile, audio, CTV, and online video, subject to advertiser and data coverage requirements.
