Shirofune Takes Advertising Performance Management Through an Inflection Point: The 2026 CRM Conversation Starters
Shirofune is a digital advertising automation platform provider founded in Japan in 2014. It helps companies automate their marketing and advertising budgeting, bidding, and reporting across major ad platforms. Its platform is widely known in the ad-tech industry for features that optimize return on ad spend and manage cross-channel campaign data. Through several bold moves this year, the company, which is now headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., greatly expanded its reach through product launches and integrations with big advertising platforms.
Among the integrations signed in the past few months, Shirofune in February added Reddit Ads to its growing roster of supported channels. This integration allows companies to plan, manage, and optimize Reddit campaigns within the unified Shirofune interface they use for search, social, and e-commerce media.
In May, it added ChatGPT Ads, helping teams test the channel while maintaining visibility across their performance marketing mix to help teams evaluate whether broader goals, such as profitable return on ad spend, higher-quality traffic, and sustained customer lifetime value, were being met.
The ChatGPT addition comes just two months after Shirofune integrated with Amazon DSP, a programmatic advertising solution that enables advertisers to buy advertising inventory across multiple channels. The integration also enables marketers to access Amazon DSP within the Shirofune platform.
Shirofune also added a feature within its advertising operations automation platform to automatically optimize Amazon advertising performance during major sales events, such as Amazon Prime Days or Cyber Monday. Shirofune’s new feature continuously monitors cost progression and performance hourly throughout a specified sales day. Advertisers can choose to automatically maximize sales within a defined budget or maximize sales while maintaining a target return on ad spend.
An integration with Triple Whale’s e-commerce attribution and analytics platform has enabled Shirofune to automatically incorporate Triple Whale’s third-party attribution data, including return on ad spend, cost per action, and lifetime value, in real time, helping companies adjust budgets, bids, and pacing across Meta, Google, and other platforms. Performance insights segmented by channel, funnel stage, and customer type flow continuously into Shirofune.
And then in July, Shirofune, launched Walmart Connect, expanding its support for retail media advertisers seeking to manage high-intent commerce campaigns through a single, automated interface. The new integration allows advertisers and agencies to connect Walmart campaigns to Shirofune and manage them alongside other major digital advertising channels, including search, social, retail media, and e-commerce platforms.
All of these integrations continue Shirofune’s expansion of its omnichannel capabilities, complementing existing support for Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and other platforms and leading e-commerce and analytics tools, including BigCommerce.
This comes as the company also expanded its product portfolio. In October, for example, it released reporting and automatic optimization features for brand awareness, moving from lower-funnel to higher-funnel metrics. With this update, Shirofune extended its optimization capabilities to include upper-funnel performance indicators such as reach and frequency for display and video ad campaigns. This advancement allows advertisers to assess both immediate performance and long-term brand-building impact across the entire marketing funnel.
And in April, it released AI Summary, which uses generative artificial intelligence to automatically analyze advertising performance fluctuations and deliver actionable insights in seconds. AI Summary works with Shirofune’s Change Analysis Reports, which breaks down every performance metric shift. The AI Summary tool explains what has transpired, why it changed, and what to do next.
“We’re at an inflection point where generative AI is fundamentally reshaping how software delivers value,” said Mitsunaga Kikuchi, CEO and founder of Shirofune, in a statement. “Our goal is to automate the entire ad operations workflow, from budget optimization to analysis to strategy, so teams can focus on growth not grunt work.”
“Every new ad platform creates opportunity, but it also creates complexity,” Kikuchi added. “Our goal is to make sure advertisers can adopt emerging channels like ChatGPT without losing control of their data, budgets, or performance strategy.”
