Verizon Sets Sights on Enterprise Solutions

Verizon has announced the formation of Verizon Enterprise Solutions, charged with running business, government, and wholesale operations for the telecommunications provider.

The new organization will manage a portfolio that includes cloud, IT, mobility, advanced communications offerings, and strategic networking solutions for enterprises.

"Enterprise and government customers are looking for complete solutions. By aligning our efforts, we will be uniquely positioned to meet business customer needs," said Lowell McAdam, president and CEO of Verizon, in a statement. "We know that the intersection of mobility, cloud computing, and security will drive a revolution in enterprise IT over the next ten years. This change will allow us to leverage all of our technology assets to take advantage of growth opportunities around the world."

Verizon Enterprise Solutions will provide specialized solutions for retail, healthcare, travel, transportation, utilities, financial services, and IT consulting services companies.
