to its board of directors on December 18. Priem has spent the past 25 years at Korn/Ferry International as the executive recruiting company's president and CEO. eBay Inc.
announced that
Brian Swette
will step down as COO of the company effective January 1, 2002. Swette's day-to-day responsibilities in marketing, category management, and business development will be integrated into the departments of other executives, including: Maynard Webb, president of eBay Technologies; Rajiv Dutta, CFO; and, Bill Cobb, senior vice president of global marketing. Swette is yielding his COO duties in order to spend more time with his children who live in Florida, company representatives say. He will continue at eBay as head of corporate development, managing all of eBay's major marketing and sponsorship relationships, and also will serve as a senior advisor to Whitman on strategic business issues. , formerly general manager of Siebel North America, joined as president of Chordiant's Americas operations; and
Paul Burrin
, formerly senior vice president of corporate marketing at Oracle Corp. joined as the senior vice president for worldwide marketing. Coote will be responsible for all of Chordiant's Americas operations including the field, and customer servicing and selling functions.
