NEW PRODUCTS
Responsys released Responsys Interact 5, the latest version of the company's email marketing automation solution. Enhancements include a new, streamlined user interface and content-personalization tools. The improvements are designed to enable marketers to improve revenue through the use of Individualized Lifecycle Marketing (ILM). In addition, Responsys has created the Individualized Lifecycle Marketing Forum, a group of marketers that is leading the drive for highly individualized, lifecycle-based approach to outbound marketing. The forum's goal is to advance market acceptance and adoption of a proven strategy for superior marketing results through improved targeting tactics, according to the company.

Omniture has made available Omniture SearchCenter, a fully integrated keyword management solution to enable users to view, automate, and refine all their search marketing efforts from a single dashboard. In addition, the new solution will integrate with the major search networks and offer keyword exposure to more than 40 of the Web's most commonly used search and content sites.

Amae Software has launched Amae CI Suite Performance Console, a component of the Amae CI Suite. CI Performance Console is configured to display key management metrics regarding company-wide customer experience results and productivity analytics. Statistical results and performance relative to goals are graphically displayed in real time.

Business Objects has extended its BI platform with support for Linux. Business Objects XI will support both the Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server platforms, in response to the increasing number of companies installing Linux servers as part of their infrastructure.

KANA's applications will now leverage the open Unstructured Information Management Architecture introduced by IBM and support implementation with IBM WebSphere Information Integrator OmniFind Edition. This will enable KANA customers to search based on concepts and facts, and access information that was previously hidden in unstructured content, all designed to improve resolution time with customer service agents.

Nortel reported its second quarter result of $2.86 billion, an increase of 10 percent from the prior year. Nortel reported net earnings of $45 million, or $0.01 per common share, while gross margin was 43 percent of revenue.

Centive has partnered with Compensation Technologies to deliver implementations of Centive Compel, an on-demand sales compensation management solution for midtier companies to offer real-time visibility into sales representatives performance.

CUSTOMER WINS
SBC Communications has announced a new contract to deliver a hosted VoIP network to NCE Computer Group, a data storage service and provider of integrated storage solutions. NCE will use SBC's SBC PremierSERV Hosted IP Communication Server to provide additional flexibility to the company's call management system.
