NEW PRODUCTS Broadbeam has announced that its Mobile Solutions System TM suite of products has received enterprise solution certification from Cingular Wireless. As a Certified Cingular Solutions Provider, Broadbeam can now offer its enterprise mobile solutions across the Cingular wireless network and through Cingular-certified devices. Customers that use Cingular can deploy Broadbeam solutions to develop new applications and extend their sales and field forces across mobile environments.
Aspect Communications has launched Aspect Customer Self-Service (CSS) Version 7.1. The latest version offers a platform prepackaged with contact center speech self-service and enterprisewide VoiceXML-based auto attendant functionality. Aspect CSS uses PSTN and VoIP connectivity to automate transactions like order placement and address capture. ViewCentral has announced the availability of ViewCentral 5.0. ViewCentral will automate the management of in-person, virtual live, and virtual recorded marketing and training events. The new release offers new event packaging and merchandising features to help companies increase event attendance, improve the ratio of attendees, and generate greater return on event (ROE). IN THE NEWS KANA has forged a partnership with TIBCO, a business integration and process management software company. KANA will embed TIBCO BusinessWorks into its Service Resolution Management (SRM) offering. The combined solution will provide greater integration with enterprise applications and increase time-to-market by up to 50 percent, according to the company. Concerto Software announced its financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2005. Revenue for the second quarter of 2005 was $69.0 million, an increase of 73.8 percent when compared to $40.0 million from the same period last year. Product revenue was $29.0 million, an increase of 57.6 percent from the same period last year. Interactive Intelligence reported record revenues of $15.6 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2005. This was an increase of 14 percent over the same period, last year. Product revenues rang in at $8.6 million, an increase of 18 percent while operating income increased to $418,000, compared to $300,000 in 2004. Finally, net income was $290,000, or $0.02 per share, compared to net income of $304,000, or $0.02 per share in the comparable quarter of 2004. CUSTOMER WINS Target Software, a subsidiary of healthcare industry data solutions company Cegedim, has deployed its Target SFA mobile pharmaceutical SFA and CRM technology at Alpharma Branded Products Division, the business unit of generic pharmaceutical company Alpharma. Target Software will provide Alpharma with an SFA suite that is an integrated SFA, CRM, and inventory management package designed to address sales and regulatory compliance needs that are specific to pharmaceutical companies.
