Attensity Selects ISYS Document Filters

ISYS Search Software, a provider of embedded search and universal information access solutions, today announced that Attensity has selected ISYS Document Filters to provide embedded text extraction capabilities for its suite of customer experience management solutions.

Attensity's applications are designed to help companies listen to, analyze, relate, and act on customer intelligence, which is often found in silos across the enterprise or dispersed among online channels, such as blogs and social media networks. By selecting ISYS Document Filters to replace Oracle's Outside In, Attensity's solutions can extract full-text and make meaning of content found in these unstructured sources.

"A lot is being made of the big data challenge and how enterprises should be accounting for the massive amount of unstructured content, both inside and outside the firewall," said Scott Coles, CEO of ISYS Search Software. "Part of addressing this challenge is understanding the voice of the customer, and Attensity is clearly taking a leadership role in this market. By selecting ISYS Document Filters for unstructured content extraction, we believe Attensity gains a significant competitive advantage that further extends its lead."

"I have licensed every document filtering technology available on the market today at one point or another," said Ian Hersey, Attensity's chief technology officer and executive vice president of products, "and not only does ISYS have a very competitive product offering, they are really easy to do business with. I am really happy with our partnership."

Key capabilities of ISYS Document Filters include:

  • Enterprise Format Support: More than 400 common and legacy file and email formats supported, plus archives and containers such as ZIPs and MSGs.
  • Deep Inspection of Content: Mine previously hidden content, including Tracked Changes, Comments, Notes, Annotations, and Embedded Web Links.
  • Comprehensive Platform Coverage: Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX.
  • Full Support: High-definition rendering of text and coverage of all character sets and encodings, including Unicode.
