Zeta Interactive Acquires Marketing Automation Platform Provider ClickSquared

Zeta Interactive, a provider of big data-driven marketing and CRM solutions, has acquired ClickSquared, the Boston-based company that launched The Hub, a SaaS-based, cross-channel campaign management platform.

ClickSquared's platform combines enterprise-class data management, analytics, cross-channel campaign management and marketing execution capabilities to automate customer dialogs across email, mobile, Web, call centers, and direct mail. The acquisition of ClickSquared is the latest in a series of acquisitions by Zeta Interactive.

"The acquisition of ClickSquared culminates Zeta's strategy of building a world-class, cross-channel platform for customer acquisition, engagement, and retention," said David Steinberg, CEO and co-founder of Zeta Interactive, in a statement. "Brands are looking for one, easy-to-deploy, comprehensive customer lifecycle marketing platform to help them acquire more customers and hold on to them for a longer time while increasing the return on their marketing spend. This acquisition is one of the final pieces of the puzzle in assembling the most robust solution for metrics-driven CMOs of Fortune 500 and middle market brands."

"Zeta Interactive has established itself as one of the most promising companies in the marketing technology industry, and we are thrilled to join forces with them," said Sam Zales, CEO of ClickSquared, in a statement. "The combined company breaks new ground in the emerging customer lifecycle marketing space."

"For ClickSquared's clients, the benefits of accessing the massive big data marketing platform that Zeta has built, as well as its industry-leading capabilities like ZetaMail, search marketing, display advertising, and social mdia are significant," he added. "The companies combined have an extraordinary opportunity to help brands more effectively acquire, engage, retain, and grow high value customers."

Zales will become executive vice president of Zeta Enterprise. The combined companies will globally service B2C companies across a number of verticals, including financial services, communication services, travel and hospitality, education, and retail. The company will be headquartered in New York City and retain ClickSquared offices in Boston, Scottsdale, Ariz., Duluth, Ga., London, and Middlesbrough, England.
