SurveyMonkey Acquires TechValidate

SurveyMonkey, providers of online survey and data insights platforms, has acquired TechValidate, a Web-based software platform specializing in marketing content automation. The acquisition complements SurveyMonkey's core platform creation, collection, and analysis services, allowing businesses to publish marketing content from their survey findings as well. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

TechValidate provides an automated platform that collects and transforms customer experience data into credible content for use across all key marketing and sales communication channels. Along with delivering market research and customer insights, the platform serves more than 300 customers and creates a variety of content, including case studies, ROI analyses, customer testimonials, and reviews.

"TechValidate's automated content-generation platform helps every customer now get more from their survey results. They've taken data analytics one step further and moved into easily and effortlessly producing verified marketing content," said Bill Veghte, SurveyMonkey's CEO, in a statement. "We are excited to work with the talented TechValidate team to solve a universal pain point for sales and marketing professionals worldwide."

"By providing real-time, affordable access to data, SurveyMonkey demonstrated that people could do more with data, and TechValidate is a natural extension of this approach," said Steve Norall, CEO of TechValidate, in a statement. "When we started TechValidate in 2007, our founding insight was that we could quickly transform online survey data into compelling, credible content for marketing and sales communications."

"We are thrilled to join forces with SurveyMonkey and look forward to benefiting from their complementary insights platform and deep industry experience as we continue to develop our product suite to enable marketers to quickly build engaging content and deliver actionable insights," said Brad O'Neill, president of TechValidate, in a statement.

SurveyMonkey plans to maintain TechValidate's current headquarters in Emeryville, Calif., along with TechValidate's management team, 50 employees, and current product offerings.

SurveyMonkey a year ago acquired Fluidware, a provider of online survey and application review tools.
