Spark Analytics Enhances Its Products

Spark Analytics, a provider of cloud-based predictive and prescriptive analytic solutions for the retail and foodservice industries, has enhanced its products with robust architecture, expanded operational analytics, role-based dashboards, rich visualization properties, and mobile capabilities.

Spark Analytics has embraced Microsoft's Four-Tier Engagement Platform designed specifically for today's mobile dependency, providing a foundation for performance, device-centric experiences, internal service and application integration, third-party services, and APIs.

Another major component of the technology improvement is the redesign of the user experience and interface, including a crisper look and feel and integrated responsive design throughout the suite.

"We looked at the devices that are being used at store level to determine the best practical analytic views," said Spark Analytics President Ken Claflin in a statement. "We based our ideas on Microsoft MVC framework, and the results have been impressive."

In addition to the user experience improvements, the enhanced technology provides the following

  • An expanded and comprehensive retail and food service KPI library;
  • Proprietary R-based targeting algorithms;
  • Expanded data models that support retail and foodservice operations; and
  • A world-class Tier-Four managed services environment.

"Spark Analytics' enhanced technology translates to better operations management, shrink management, and test and learn opportunities for our clients. With our products, food service and retail customers operate more efficiently and increase their gross margins," Claflin said.
