Melissa Data and Crafty Clicks Partner on Global Address Verification for Magento

Melissa Data, a provider of contact data quality and data integration solutions, today announced a new global address verification plugin for users of the Magento content management system for ecommerce Web sites.

The Magento plugin was developed by Crafty Clicks, a Magento technology partner and address lookup service provider, and incorporates Melissa Data's Global Address Verification cloud service so online merchants can verify, correct, and auto-fill addresses as they are entered, validating information for more than 240 countries and territories in real time.

Crafty Clicks and Melissa Data are now engaged in an exclusive partnership enabling data quality in Magento-based ecommerce sites, with plans for continued strategic development of high-value data quality plugins for other popular ecommerce platforms.

"Melissa Data's global address capabilities complement our own expertise in U.K.-based address verification. Using proven solutions and without wasting development resources, Magento users can now extend the value of contact data quality across a worldwide customer base," said Adam Stylo, founder and president of Crafty Clicks, in a statement. "By adding address auto-completion and post-checkout address verification to their sites, online merchants not only assure fewer lost parcels and reduced delivery support, but also increase overall usability for customers. Shopper conversions improve, boosted by a fast, accurate and convenient checkout experience so essential to online sales."

"By working with Crafty Clicks, we are helping merchants maintain data quality as an essential business strategy," said Gary Van Roekel, chief operations officer at Melissa Data, in a statement. "Online merchants can improve shipping costs and customer satisfaction, as well as the success rate of their direct marketing activities. Magento users have a distinct competitive advantage in reaching new markets and customer groups based on better data."
