Constructor Launches Agentic Checkout

Constructor, a product discovery platform provider, today launched Agentic Checkout, which integrates Stripe to enable shoppers to find and buy products within a single agent conversation and interface.

Now, with Agentic Checkout, shoppers on retail sites and apps can discover products, ask questions, get personalized recommendations, refine their choices, and securely check out and pay, all without leaving the agent experience. Shoppers can pay via the Link by Stripe digital wallet or other payment methods.

Constructo's suite of AI agents brings personalized, conversational assistance to retail sites and mobile apps. Powered by Constructor's Commerce Reasoning Engine, the agents learn from each shopper's behavior across retailer channels.

Stripe takes that experience through to checkout, supporting multiple payment methods, including Link by Stripe, directly within Constructor's agents.

Together, Constructor and Stripe enable shoppers to do the following:

  • Ask broad, need-based questions, from "What should I wear to an outdoor fall wedding?" to "Can you help me plan quick, healthy dinners for my family this week?" and receive personalized, in-stock recommendations.
  • As they narrow their choices, ask product-specific questions, such as "Does this dress run true to size?" or "Are these tortillas gluten-free?" and get the information they need to make a decision.
  • Once they're ready to purchase, check out and pay with Stripe, directly within the agent experience .

Agentic Checkout is already available within Constructor's AI Shopping Agent (ASA), which lets shoppers describe what they need in natural language and get guidance based on their context, history, and intent, and AI Product Insights Agent (PIA), which answers product-specific questions directly on product detail pages.

"The promise of agentic commerce is that a shopper can express what they need and AI can help them every step of the way, making every part of the journey easier, more helpful, and more enjoyable," said Eli Finkelshteyn, CEO and co-founder of Constructor, in a statement. "Delivering on that promise requires best-in-class discovery and then best-in-class checkout. Constructor has spent years focused on improving the discovery experience and helping shoppers find the right products, while Stripe has built world-class payments infrastructure that helps shoppers buy those products easily and securely. Together, we're making agentic shopping more complete for consumers and more valuable for retailers."
