Exchange and Outlook Integration Added to Zurmo CRM

Developers of the Zurmo Open Source Customer Relationship Management application today released Exchange and Outlook integration solutions for Zurmo commercial editions.

The added functionality includes email archiving between Outlook and Zurmo and complete bi-directional real-time synchronization of Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks between both tools. The integration is possible through the client side as an Outlook plugin and through the server side as an Exchange integration connector. Hosting for both options is available on premises or directly by Zurmo.

"We have invested significant resources toward this initiative, and now we have a great tool that makes using Zurmo even more seamless and attractive to enterprise users," said Zurmo Co-Founder Ray Stoeckicht in a statement. "Email alone is not customer relationship management. Outlook activities need to be recorded in order to have an effective CRM strategy. With this tight integration, it literally doesn't matter if data is being entered in Outlook or in Zurmo. It encourages user adoption as many customer-facing activities are already done through the world's most popular email application. Now users can keep up with their emails, tasks, and calendar without having to go back and forth between systems."

Both Exchange and Outlook integrations are included in Zurmo Pro for $32 per user per month. The tool can be added to the Zurmo Group Edition for $8 per user per month for an additional ad-hoc license fee.
