In the news... Dendrite International announced a partnership with SAP America to provide end-to-end support services to U.S. pharmaceutical companies deploying the SAP for Pharmaceuticals solution. Under the agreement Dendrite will become an SAP Services Partner and provide deployment and training services, help desk and data center services, and hardware and asset-management support to companies using the SAP portfolio of industry-specific business solutions. Dendrite will also offer direct-to-physician interactive marketing services to SAP customers.
NetIQ agreed to acquire the WebPosition product line and business of FirstPlace Software. According to Greg Drew, senior vice president and general manager of the WebTrends business unit at NetIQ, the addition of WebPosition Gold (a search engine-optimization software solution), puts NetIQ in a unique position to analyze activity searches. Deals of the week... Salesforce.com announced that LogLogic, a provider of appliances for real-time log analysis, has chosen to deploy Salesforce.com's Spring '04 CRM service. The company will use Salesforce.com for pipelines and forecasting, tracking evaluation units in the field, and monitoring the changes and current information on customers' hardware and software systems. NetContinuum, a developer of ASIC-based application security gateways, has also selected Salesforce.com's Spring '04 service for its worldwide sales and support teams across Asia, Europe, and the United States. Sankyo Pharma, a Japanese pharmaceutical company, has signed a four-year sales and marketing data-outsourcing contract with Dendrite. The deal includes Dendrite's new Axon Pharma solution. S1 Corporation announced that Tai Fung Bank has implemented S1 Personal Banking on the S1 Enterprise Platform, making it the first bank in the Asia Pacific region to go live with an S1 Enterprise solution. Clougherty Packing Company, a marketer of pork products under the Farmer John brand name, will implement retail sales channel-management tools from CRM software provider RW3 Technologies for its sales organization. RadioShack has selected iPhrase Technologies to power the search, navigation, and customer interaction functions across its online retail site.
