LeadMD Snaps up Marketing Engine

LeadMD, a Phoenix-based marketing automation services provider, has acquired CRM services company Marketing Engine in a drive to expand its marketing-to-sales solution platform for SMBs.

With the acquisition, the company has introduced two service channels, Sales Clinic and Marketing Clinic. Sales Clinic features an existing CRM audit, business workflow automation, customer service and support processes, CRM implementation and integration, reporting, and a function to develop or enhance in-house or external sales processes.

Marketing Clinic similarly features services like lead scoring and nurturing, CRM integration, content development and delivery, buyer persona establishment, and marketing automation software implementation.

The Marketing Engine acquisition is expected to provide the company with "better lead conversion" both on the sales and marketing sides, according to Tyeson Cluff, Marketing Engine founder.

"Marketing Engine has a proven track record of helping customers improve sales and business processes through CRM best practices...we're very excited to merge these two services and offer something truly unique," said Justin Gray, LeadMD CEO, in a statement. Though the financial terms of the deal were undisclosed, LeadMD has retained Marketing Engine's assets, including intellectual property, clients, employees, and company founder.

LeadMD has experienced the most growth across financial services, technology, business services, and health care verticals, the company reports. Its targeted focus is to develop, streamline, and maximize lead generation programs, improving customer enablement solutions for Marketo and integrating programs with Salesforce.
