Socialbakers Adds New Features to Social Media Management System

Social media analytics firm Socialbakers today debuted Builder 2.0, an upgraded version of its Builder platform, to help marketers and businesses better manage and analyze their social media activity. For companies that have teams or departments responsible for managing the company's social media activity, Builder 2.0 includes features that make it easier to allocate responsibilities among several people.

"Marketers and brand managers need tools to interpret and react to social activity in a timely manner, or risk being overwhelmed," said Socialbakers CEO Jan Rezab in a statement. "Socialbakers Builder 2.0 provides this technology whilst saving time and acting like an extra team member in a social media department."

Highlights of Builder 2.0's features include:

Publishing features that let users prepare posts for their pages and profiles, optimize content for Facebook and Twitter separately, and post to one or a group of pages at a scheduled time.

Advanced content filtering that allows users to search through content based on variables such as keywords, users, agents, posts, or statuses.

An overview of Facebook and Twitter communication channels and the ability to monitor competitors' social activities.

The ability to assign incoming posts to respective colleagues or teams, in addition to being able to customize user rights according to each team, account, or profile.

Builder 2.0 supports Facebook and Twitter. Additional social networks will be added in the coming months, according to the company.

Previously known as Facebakers (until Facebook requested that the company change its name), Socialbakers was launched in 2010, and helps companies measure the effectiveness of their social marketing campaigns across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Google+. Socialbakers' clients include L'Oreal, BMW, Vodafone, Samsung, Ogilvy, and Kraft.
