In a move to beef up its nascent business intelligence offering, PwC Consulting has struck a deal to incorporate business intelligence tools by Cognos into its analytics solution.
The plan is to bring Cognos tools into PwC's iAnalytics solution offering that was launched within the consulting firm a few months ago to help customers better understand their data across their entire value chain.
PwC executives say that including Cognos in their solution mix will allow them to provide clients with an end-to-end view of their enterprise. The deal also extends a strategic relationship between both companies.
"By making mission critical information relevant and actionable within an organization, iAnalytics helps our clients increases their revenues, reduce costs, be agile in the marketplace and make better decisions overall," says Mike Schroeck, Global iAnalytics leaders at PwC.
