While most companies wound down in preparation for the holiday weekend, J.D. Edwards made three separate announcements unveiling two new partnerships and a new software program.
One alliance brings J.D. Edwards together with webMethods and Hewlett-Packard to bolster J.D. Edwards' XPI (extended Process Integration) solution. The XPI solution is designed to create processes that will lead to what J.D. Edwards calls XBPs (extended Business Processes). According to statements from J.D. Edwards, webMethods and HP will provide systems management technology for its applications.
The second partnership involves J.D. Edwards teaming with Hyperspace Communications. J.D. Edwards has signed an agreement to acquire an enterprisewide license to HyperSpace enterprise acceleration software products for internal production and development environment, as well as customer support applications, intranets, and Web sites.
Coinciding with this partnership HyperSpace announced a large expansion of its customer base to include such companies as Amway, ALLTEL, Metrolist, FORMA Systems, and Global Vision Network.
Last, J.D. Edwards has launched a new Independent Software Vendor (ISV) program to expand on existing enterprise solutions targeting mid-market solutions. The company hopes this new program will help create new and better interfaces for their existing customers and software solutions.
