Infor Collaborates with 8thBridge on Social Commerce Solutions

Infor, a provider of business application software, today announced a new strategic collaboration with 8thBridge, a provider of social commerce and developer of 8thBridge Graphite, for a pair of social commerce initiatives. 

Infor customers can now enable social commerce by leveraging Facebook for social sharing and their Web site for transactions through two new Infor modules for inbound and outbound marketing: Social Commerce Advisor and Insight for Social Commerce.

Infor's two new social marketing modules, Social Commerce Advisor and Insight for Social Commerce, harness the power of the Infor Epiphany CRM Suite and 8thBridge Graphite technology to give marketers access to predictive and emotive social data not readily available via other means. Having access to this rich and timely consumer data, combined with the power of Infor's new social modules, affords marketers the opportunity to execute more targeted just-in-time campaigns and allows them to analyze purchasing and preference behavior to further enhance marketing strategies and success.

"Many companies recognize the need to interact with consumers on social channels, but struggle with how to integrate these channels into an overarching CRM strategy that will generate a definable return and benefit to the enterprise," said George Wright, senior vice president and general manager of CRM at Infor, in a statement. "Through our partnership with 8thBridge, we can now offer our customers a comprehensive solution that will deliver real-time data for retargeting and sales, allowing them to leverage more digital channels for personalization, and providing instant recommendations that will help drive higher cross-sell and upsell acceptance rates."

In addition, Social Commerce Advisor and Insight for Social Commerce give companies the technology to better personalize interactions and determine the right messages to deliver directly to a consumer during a social interaction based on intelligence gathered from his social profile.
