Pharmaceutical company BDI Pharma will ring in the new year with SAP enterprise resource planning and CRM systems in place.
The Columbia, S.C.-based distributor of biotech therapies' selection of software developer SAP was credited to its additional efficiency, flexibility, and capabilities. According to Thomas Draughn, BDI's SAP project manager, the selection represented a company "investment of time, resources, and finances over the past months [that was] necessary and vital to the growth" of the enterprise.
BDI Pharma services an array of healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, specialty veterinarians, home-care companies, and manufacturing trade partners. The company this spring launched service platform tool BDIAccess to navigate its customer and supplier base through what the company deems a "complex reimbursement" process.
"Because of BDI's commitment to growing our partners' business in addition to our own, we are proud to offer a service solution that provides measurable value by saving the healthcare service provider time, money, and resources," said Debra Aronson, BDI vice president of national accounts, in a statement.
The company, since its inception in 1995, has developed proprietary platforms for the healthcare community, including specialty veterinarians (4legpharma.com), product consignment (consignadvantage.com), flu vaccine pre-booking and general vaccine ordering (securivax.com), and purchasing and reward programs (qoreprogram.com and securigam.com).
