In the news... Microsoft Business Solutions providers ePartners and EYT announced that they are merging, creating the provider of Microsoft Business Solutions in North America. According to the company, the combined entity will operate as ePartners, with ePartners CEO Dan Duffy continuing as CEO, and Howard S. Diamond, CEO and chairman of EYT, as executive chairman and chairman of the board for ePartners. EPartners will employ more than 400 staff, including 220 solution consultants, and will be headquartered in Seattle, with a total of 29 offices, including one in London. Blue Pumpkin announced the results for its fourth quarter ending May 31, 2004, reporting another consecutive quarter of revenue and net earnings growth. In comparison to the previous quarter revenue grew by 7 percent, net earnings grew by 56 percent, and license revenues grew by 39 percent. According to Nilesh Shah, executive vice president and CFO, "We exceeded our plan for the fiscal year in several areas, including revenue--specifically license revenue--gross margins, and net earnings." Language Analysis Systems (LAS) and Group 1 Software have announced a global alliance. Under the agreement, Group 1 will act as a worldwide distributor of LAS's name-recognition technology, which includes a suite of tools for parsing, cleansing, matching, and scoring names Click Commerce has completed its acquisition of bTrade, a provider of secure communications and trading partner management. According to Chairman and CEO Michael Ferro, "The current market momentum behind product item synchronization is bringing to light the broader inefficiencies of supplier--retailer relationships. [The acquisition] enables us to deliver transaction management and process automation solutions to optimize the supplier--retailer supply chain." Interactive Intelligence has formed Vonexus, a wholly-owned subsidiary. Vonexus will be responsible for distribution of the company's Enterprise Interaction Center (EIC) product--a standards-based all-software IP PBX targeted at Microsoft-centric SMBs. Deals of the week... Amdocs announced that mobilkom austria, a wireless service provider in Austria, has deployed Amdocs ClarifyCRM ClearSales. RightNow Technologies announced that New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority has implemented RightNow Service in its customer service operations across all five of its major business units. CenterStone Technologies announced that Pearl Izumi, a designer of products for the running, cycling, footwear, and performance apparel industries, has selected CenterStone for its retail customers and sales representatives. Antenna Software announced that Rapiscan Security Products (U.S.A.), a supplier of high-quality X-ray screening and explosive detection systems, has deployed the Antenna A3 Field Service Management solution to its North American field force. Altitude Software announced the deployment of the Altitude uCI 7 solution at the Spanish Red Cross (Cruz Roja Espanola). SageMetrics Corporation reported the addition of five new clients: EmeraldCoast.com, Neutrogena, Rampage, uSwitch, and Virgin Radio. Executive changes... Sales Force Management Software has appointed Charles Tan to lead its Asia-Pacific Operations. Tan will launch and manage the Sales Force Management Software Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore. Tan most recently served as the software business director at GrandTech Systems. Entellium named Natalee Roan vice president of sales and marketing for the company's North America operations. Roan has previously held several senior executive positions in sales and marketing with Sprint, including heading its national sales operations team. New products... ClickFox has introduced its new Customer Behavior Intelligence suite. It allows users to translate complex customer interactions across self-service applications, and is a decision-support platform that features system modeling, flow and behavior visualization, root-cause analysis and reporting, and a recommendations engine. ProfitCenter Software unveiled the Version 2.5 Functionality Release of PCS' Profitability Software Suite. According to the company, the solution offers more than 100 new enhancements and features, including e-commerce features, customer service updates, flexible screen modeling, customizable dashboards, and prebuilt interfaces to the ecometry MACS system. The suite is designed to automate and manage all customer product, service, and pricing interactions, moving through multiple sales presentation channels.
