NEW PRODUCTS Empirix and Genesys Telecommunicatons Laboratories have announced the first integrated testing and monitoring solution for Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) environments. Genesys Voice Platform is a software-only product that brings Internet technologies to voice to enable voice self-service apps based on Voice XML. Empirix testing and monitoring solutions are designed to ensure that GVP seamlessly interoperates with existing contact center components and applications. The new solutions will enable organizations to proactively monitor and manage GVP and correlate performance with data on related components, voice, and Voice XML transactions. Sendia has released QuickStart for Wireless SFA 2.2. The new component delivers a library of preconfigured filters and is designed to ease setup of Wireless SFA 2.2 for administrators. Additionally, QuickStart introduces an improved screen layout to give administrators a choice between standard default settings or custom configured settings. StrongMail Systems, a provider of digital messaging infrastructure, has announced the availability of StrongMail 3.0. Enhancements include the introduction of enhanced reporting and self-help delivery diagnostic features, comprehensive Bounce Management, Actionable Reporting, and Live Updates for ongoing compliance with industry standards. StrongMail 3.0, traditionally a software solution, is now available as a turnkey appliance. Verint Systems has announced ULTRA IntelliConnect, a new set of open standard-based integration offerings for its ULTRA solution. ULTRA IntelliConnect will provide prebuilt integrations to best-of-breed solutions like CRM, customer surveys, workforce management, performance management, and BI. The offering integrates data with analytics to provide management a view of agents, contact centers, and the enterprise to create more effective scorecards, data mining, and call content categorization. IN THE NEWS Similarity Systems, a supplier of business-focused data quality solutions, has announced the acquisition of Evoke Software, a leading provider of data discovery and profiling software, from Conversion Services International CSI. The purchase builds on an existing partnership between Evoke and Similarity Systems under which the two companies have provided repository-level integration between their respective data profiling and data quality products, AXIO and ATHANOR. The move enables Similarity Systems to further integrate AXIO's capabilities into its end-to-end data quality solution.
ON THE MOVE Attensity, a provider of software applications that analyze text, has appointed Michelle de Haaff as vice president of marketing. De Haaff will oversee product management, corporate, and industry-specific marketing efforts. Symbol Technologies, a provider of products to capture, move, and manage information in real time, announced that Sal Iannuzzi, current vice president and chief administrative and control officer, will take on the additional role of CFO, effective immediately. CUSTOMER WIN Fred Alger Management has implemented PMAPS Financial 2004, Proposal Software's management and production software for investment managers. The company's three-person proposal team will use PMAPS to field approximately 100 RFPs, questionnaires, and consultant updates per year from corporations, consultants, foundations, and endowments. The University of California, Berkeley, has purchased communications software from Interactive Intelligence to give advanced messaging capabilities to faculty, staff, and students campuswide.
