Emma Acquires Marketing Solutions Provider Boomerang
Email marketing provider increases customer base as it continues to expand its product offerings.

Emma, a provider of email marketing software and services, has acquired digital marketing solution provider Boomerang. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is part of a growth-focused year for Emma, as the company has seen 50 percent employee growth in the past year, expanded internationally, enhanced its automation product and will host its first national marketing conference.

Through the acquisition, Boomerang's customers will now have access to Emma's platform, including the company's deep Salesforce.com integration.

"We're thrilled to welcome the Boomerang user community into the Emma fold," said Clint Smith, CEO and co-founder of Emma, in a statement. "They're a smart group of savvy marketers, and we're excited to help them make a seamless transition to the Emma platform."

"A large percentage of our customers rely heavily on our integration with Salesforce.com, so Emma and its integration set was the obvious choice for our users," said Dave Kearney, CEO of Boomerang, in a statement. "Because of the company's technology, product experience and customer service, we knew our customers would be taken care of at Emma."
