Coveo Personalizes the Search Experience for Sitecore Web Sites

Coveo has added major feature upgrades to its Coveo for Sitecore search and relevance solution, which enables organizations to build contextual search and discovery experiences on Web sites powered by the Sitecore Experience Platform

With this release, Coveo for Sitecore has delivered full integration with the Sitecore Experience Database (xDB), empowering marketers to personalize the search results, page content, and product offerings displayed to Web site visitors.

Feature enhancements in the latest release of Coveo for Sitecore include the following:

Sitecore Experience Database (xDB) Integration: Leveraging the comprehensive profile and activity data managed within Sitecore’s xDB, Coveo for Sitecore makes it possible for marketers to tailor personalized search experiences and content pages for each unique Web site visitor. By using the insights the Sitecore xDB captures about each site visitor, including select demographic information, prior activity on the site, and past exposures to email and other marketing initiatives, marketers can use Coveo for Sitecore to offer each site visitor the products and content most relevant at that precise moment in their customer journey. And because it is fully integrated into the Sitecore platform, marketers can build and manage these experiences with the Sitecore tools they use to manage their entire Web sites.

Actionable Usage Analytics and Reporting: With a flexible dashboard and actionable reports, Coveo for Sitecore provides marketers with total line-of-sight into key search performance metrics, including trending searches, search keyword frequency, and search conversion rates. This enables marketers to tune the site’s content, product offers, and personalized search profiles in response to changing visitor preferences, competitive activity, or identified gaps in content. And because Coveo is fully integrated within Sitecore Experience Platform, all search usage analytics are channeled back and stored directly within the Sitecore xDB.

Improved Mobile Support & Design Architecture: Coveo for Sitecore fully supports Responsive Design and provides a number of templates to deploy dynamic search for visitors using iOS and Android devices. And to provide administrators and systems integrators with more flexibility in how search-driven Web pages are built, Coveo for Sitecore now fully supports Model-View Controller (MVC) architectural patterns.

"Connecting each site visitor with the products and messages most personally relevant to them at precisely the right time and across every device they use is the most important driver of site conversions and customer engagement," said JP Provencal, senior vice president of strategic alliances at Coveo, in a statement. "With Coveo for Sitecore, our mission was to make it easy for non-technical marketers to create these rich, highly-personal search and exploration experiences using the same Sitecore tools they utilize to manage the rest of their sites. We are pleased to be partnering with forward-leaning organizations to make their Web site personalization goals a reality."

"Successful digital brand experiences deliver the content and products that are specifically tailored to each unique visitor and their precise place in the customer journey," said Darren Guarnaccia, chief strategy officer at Sitecore, in a statement. "By connecting big data and contextual search, Coveo for Sitecore empowers marketers to deliver the personalized digital experiences that delight customers and earn brand loyalty."

Coveo currently has more than 100 implementations within leading Sitecore-powered sites globally.
