Each year, the Elite Customer awards demonstrate, in often dramatic ways, the value of our industry’s products and ideas. Sales figures and technology trends are telling, but nothing conveys the power of CRM and marketing software quite like the example of a business using it to solve a problem. Like a newspaper company deciding that delivering content blindly was no longer enough; it needed a customer engagement platform to get to know its readers and give them the content they wanted (and build subscriptions). Or a start-up that enables subscribers to charge their phones on the go; when its old CRM system struggled to keep up with an expanding business, a new platform and apps allowed revenue to skyrocket. Or a digital retailer that helps young adults furnish their living spaces; marketing automation lent its small team the sophisticated functionality of a larger operation, with the results to boot.
