CRM has never been a niche market. The categories here cover a vast territory—software and services, sales and marketing, information and analytics—and represent the culmination of months of research and dozens of analyst interviews. It’s been a year of consolidation and expansion—including in our awards themselves, which include two new categories—and while some of the winners, leaders, and Ones to Watch may come as a surprise, what’s not surprising is the industry’s ongoing excellence.
Within the expanded scope -- to a record 10 categories -- the magazine named one Market Winner, denoting the highest score compared to its peers. Each category also produced four Market Leader awards and a “One to Watch.” Recipients were determined through an extensive three-month process and proprietary rating formula that involves industry analysts, financial and corporate information, product and functionality assessments, and scores reflecting customer satisfaction.
