The Challenge: Speed the sales process Hillco, a Chicago-based liquidator and auctioneer of bankrupt commercial properties, is using a custom solution created by FastRoot International LLC to speed its sales process. Hillco is part of a 10-subsidiary company of liquidators. The CRM system gives Hillco's employees real-time status of properties, and sends broadcast email to immediately inform prospects of new properties. Previously these time-intensive tasks were done manually. Using FastRoot the company now has a publishing system integrated with its Web site that allows for digital delivery of property information and documents associated with the property, including deeds and leases. There is also a sales force automation tool that allows the company to track new leads and opportunities and manage contacts. In addition, Hillco can now automatically send out fax broadcasts or email to its 15,000 to 20,000 property bidders. The Payoff: The company has become more productive, more attractive to potential clients, able to present a more sophisticated image to the marketplace, which is helping it gain an advantage over competitors. --Lisa Picarille
