Telerik Announces Enhancements to Sitefinity CMS Solution

Telerik, a provider of end-to-end solutions for application development, software testing, project management, reporting, and content management across all major development platforms, has announced several improvements to Sitefinity, its CMS solution.

Sitefinity CMS now comes equipped with inline editing, an HTML5-based module for implementing Google Analytics Web analytics service, and a dynamic administration dashboard.

Inline Editing, a simplified approach to making updates within the context of the site, uses a browser-based HTML5 environment for creating and updating content. This enables content creators to edit title fields and body fields in a true WYSIWYG format, allowing users to change headers, sub-heads, and body content, as well as replace images in the context of the Web page. Users can also engage the full details mode to edit keyword tags, image alt tags, the URL, and publication date.

The update to Telerik's Sitefinity solution also includes an HTML5-based module for Google Analytics. "Based on this rich, standards-based environment, users can take advantage of Google Analytics Web analytics service integrated tightly to the Sitefinity CMS backend. While editing Web pages, content authors can leverage analytic reports, including daily visits, visit duration, and unique visitors, while making adjustments to the Web page on the fly for improved search engine results," according to a company statement.

In addition, the enhanced Sitefinity CMS makes use of a dynamic administration dashboard, which gives business users insight on website interactions, pending tasks and recently added content. The dashboard integrates with Google Analytics, and allows users to personalize their displays to feature any metrics including daily visits, visit duration, bounce rate, and traffic sources or display information on content, such as details on which items were edited last.

"The ability to execute is becoming a bigger and bigger differentiator for the success of online marketing teams. Making digital marketers more effective by authoring content in context of the presentation was the main driver behind the revolutionary inline content authoring experience we’re delivering with this release," Martin Kirov executive vice president of Telerik's Sitefinity division, says. "Content is still in the center of the online customer experience, and enriching it with context, coupled with amazing authoring experience, will enable our customers to deliver compelling online experiences and grow their business."
