Sage Software announced several new products, led by the 10th-anniversary edition of Sage CRM SalesLogix, at the Insights 2007 partner conference in Orlando. Sage SalesLogix v7.2's modernized architecture supports Web, mobile, and Windows interfaces, increasing user productivity through flexible access to centralized and secure customer data, according to the company. Sage SalesLogix v7.2 is standards-based, scalable, and leverages Web technologies to simplify integration with IT environments and lower cost of ownership. Expanded capabilities for the optional Sage SalesLogix Mobile (v5) solution add data charting for BlackBerry devices, and support for Windows Mobile and Smartphone devices. Sage SalesLogix v7.2 also features a common Web and mobile customization environment, allowing rapid application deployment for one or many users. The changes and additions to SalesLogix will form the basis of Sage's CRM product strategy going forward, leveraging the full range of Sage products and the company's extensive VAR network to remain in the forefront of SMB software. "Sage SalesLogix holds a prominent industry position that has spanned the pioneering days of CRM, through today's introduction of version 7.2, which represents our platform for future Sage SalesLogix growth," said Joe Bergera, senior vice president and general manager for Sage Software Global CRM Solutions. "Sage SalesLogix version 7.2 is the first milestone of our write once, deploy anywhere strategy, and is well-suited for incorporating future technologies while working with current IT standards so we can continue to deliver new levels of functionality for our customers." In addition to SalesLogix v7.2, the company introduced Sage SalesLogix Visual Analyzer, a business analytics tool. SalesLogix Visual Analyzer features 10 interactive and customizable dashboards, including key performance indicators, forecasting, opportunity management, and marketing dashboards, to help users quickly and securely access and interpret data managed within SalesLogix, according to the company. This follows a strong trend in the industry to build business intelligence into CRM. "We're continually evolving Sage SalesLogix to deliver CRM that works the way our customers want to work," said David van Toor, general manager for Sage CRM Solutions, North America. "SalesLogix Visual Analyzer provides users with a single-screen view of business analytics, and transforms data into actionable information to aid rapid sales and marketing decisions." Other product announcements included new versions of the MAS 90 and MAS 200 accounting solutions, sporting deeper integration with Sage's three primary CRM packages, ACT!, SageCRM, and SalesLogix. Spring and summer 2007 will also see the release of ACT! by Sage for Financial Professionals; the ACT! Hosting Provider Program; an upgraded line of Sage FAS Fixed Assets products; and numerous products serving nonprofits, construction and real estate businesses, and employer solutions.
