Northern Kentucky University aces CRM with CIBER and SAP; Ricoh turns to BEA Systems; NetSuite and Coremetrics appoint new execs; and more.

CIBER Enterprise Solutions, a provider of enterprise and e-business application implementation and integration consulting services, announced that Northern Kentucky University selected CIBER to implement SAP for Higher Education & Research (SAP for HE&R) and SAP Campus Management solutions. The deployment will allow the university to improve real-time access to information along with a student-information system to support tasks that include support course-planning admission and registration. CIBER will provide implementation and project management services to deploy SAP Campus Management, financials, human resources, payroll, BI, and portal applications.
BEA Systems has announced that Ricoh Company, an office equipment provider, has implemented BEA WebLogic Portal 8.1 for its CRM portal site in Japan, NetRICOH. Ricoh plans to build a multichannel marketing and service system by integrating management of its mission-critical system, customer database, and business support system at the back end with NetRICOH, Ricoh Call Center, and sales representatives in direct contact with customers.

Adam Ross has joined NetSuite as its vice president of channel sales. At his previous post Ross served as the national sales director for Best Software's CRM division. Prior to his role as national sales director he served as manager of strategic accounts.
Hamid Bahadori has joined Coremetrics as vice president of engineering. Prior to Coremetrics, Bahadori served as senior vice president of engineering at Actuate. His 16 years of software engineering experience also includes positions at Envive, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and NASA Jet Propulsion Lab.
Help Desk Technology Corporation (HDTC) has released CRM Express, a Web-based subscription service that allows companies to supply online customer service capabilities.
SmartCompany announced the release of SmartCompany Toolbar, a Web-browser enhancement that allows users to access their most-used SmartCompany features from atop Microsoft Internet Explorer. Additional features include integration with Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2003, or XP; a search function that allows users to search for and access any SmartCompany data according to name, word, or phrase; and one-click creation of new records including accounts, contacts, orders, tasks, and notes.
